Retired Men’s Group will meet Dec. 11 at church

The Retired Men’s Group of the Tonawandas will meet at noon Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the First Presbyterian Church, 149 Broad St., City of Tonawanda. Mary Wells of Seneca Hospice Palliative Care will be the guest speaker following lunch. Attendees are asked to bring a bagged lunch. Coffee and tea will be served.

Church to host Christmas concert

Blessed Sacrament Church will offer a free Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the church, 263 Claremont, in Father Cotter Hall. Father Bill and Friends will perform and will feature Megan Rozak. For more information, email bsmission@yahoo.com.

Kenmore Mercy Hospital to raffle wreaths

Members of the Kenmore Mercy Hospital Auxiliary will be raffling off Christmas wreaths this year during the holiday season. The wreaths will be on display through Dec. 17 in the hospital’s atrium, 2950 Elmwood Ave. The drawing will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17. Tickets may be purchased from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during that week from members of the hospital auxiliary.

Red Cross blood drives slated in December

A number of American Red Cross blood drives will take place in locations throughout Kenmore and Tonawanda in December. They will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 1570 Niagara Falls Blvd.; from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Dunkin’ Donuts, 2200 Sheridan Drive; from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the McAuley Residence, 1503 Military Road; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Family Video, 1971 Colvin Blvd. For more information, visit www.redcross blood.org.

American Legion Band to perform Dec. 15

The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas Post 264 will present a Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda. The concert will feature vocalist Henry Pendleton. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Children younger than 12 are $8. Town Players to present ‘Babes in Toyland’

The Town Players 2013 Season will include a presentation of “Babes in Toyland” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13-14; and at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 and 15 at the Sheridan Parkside Community Center, 169 Sheridan Parkside Drive, Tonawanda. It is $12 general admission and $8 for seniors and students. If attendees bring a new or lightly used clothing item or new toy to benefit The Ken-Ton Closet, they will receive $1 off each ticket.
