Mount St. Mary track falls to St. Mary’s

Mount St. Mary outdoor track and field lost to St. Mary's of Lancaster, 55-50.

The teams were tied after the 4x400-meter relay, so it came down to the 4x100, the last event, to determine the results. St. Mary's ended up beating MSM by roughly a second in that event to capture the victory.

The 4x800-meter relay of Leah Gath, Liz Strott, Julie Quebral and Anna Hayes took first in a time of 10:58.25.

Gina Pelligra was first in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:09. Haynes was first in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:33.13. Kylie Cocca was first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 30.1 seconds.

The 4x400 relay of Cocca, Strott, Pelligra and Hayes was first in 4:40.

Celia Rahill was second in the triple jump with a distance of 30 feet-two inches. Pelligra was second in the long jump with a distance of 14 feet-2.5 inches. Erin Hibbert was third in the shot put.

Monday, the team lost a meet to Nardin, 77-28.

Hayes placed first in the 800-meter. Pelligra was first in the 400-meter dash. Gath was first in the 3000-meter and second in the 1500.

Quebral was third in the 1500-meter. Hibbert was second in the shot put and discus while Katie Miano was third in the discus. Abbi O’Hara was third in the long jump while Rahill was third in the triple jump.
